Visit A Casino

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

Summary

Visit A Casino is a casino directory. We do not require you to create an account to browse the site. When you click a link to visit a casino website, we log that click so we can report traffic to our partner casinos. We hash your IP address before storing it; we cannot identify you from it. If you use the “Near Me” feature, your browser's geolocation is used only locally to filter results and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not sell your data.

1. What We Collect

When you click an outbound casino link on Visit A Casino, we log:

  • Timestamp: when the click occurred (UTC)
  • Hashed IP address: we apply a one-way SHA-256 hash to your IP before storing. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP.
  • User agent: your browser and OS string (e.g. “Chrome 124 on Windows”)
  • Device type & browser: derived from the user agent and stored separately for aggregate analytics (e.g. “mobile”, “Chrome”)
  • Country: inferred from your IP address at the time of the click. Only the country-level value is stored; no city or region data is retained.
  • Click type: the category of link clicked (e.g. casino website, hotel booking, sportsbook)
  • Referrer: the page you came from (a Visit A Casino page or search engine)
  • Session ID: a random identifier in a browser cookie (ca_sid) used to deduplicate clicks. Contains no personal information.

We do not collect your name, email, address, payment information, or any personally identifiable information through click tracking.

2. Geolocation

The “Near Me” feature on our casino browsing pages may request access to your device's geolocation through your browser's standard permission prompt. If you grant permission, your coordinates are used solely within your browser to filter and sort casino listings by distance. Your coordinates are never transmitted to our servers and are discarded when you leave or refresh the page. Geolocation access is entirely optional, declining the prompt does not affect any other functionality.

3. User-Submitted Information

If you submit content through any of the following features, we store the information you provide:

  • Suggest a Casino: casino name, address, optional photo URL, and optional name you provide. This data is reviewed by our team and used to add new listings.
  • Report an Issue / Flag: the casino in question, the field flagged, and any description you include. Used solely to investigate and correct inaccurate data.
  • Reviews: your written review and star rating, displayed publicly on the casino's profile.
  • Claim a Casino: contact name, email, phone, and message provided when claiming a listing on behalf of a casino property.

Contact information submitted through claims is used only to verify the claim and is not shared publicly or used for marketing.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not use Google Analytics.

5. Why We Collect It

  • To measure which casino listings attract traffic from our directory
  • To provide accurate click reports to partner casinos who pay for referrals
  • To detect and filter fraudulent clicks (bot traffic, repeated clicks)
  • To generate aggregate analytics (top countries, devices, browsers) for our own operational reporting
  • To process and respond to user-submitted casino suggestions, flags, and claims

6. How Long We Keep It

Click records are retained for 12 months then automatically deleted. Aggregated statistics (e.g. “Casino X received 1,200 clicks in March”) may be retained indefinitely. User-submitted content such as reviews is retained until you request removal or we remove it at our discretion.

7. Who We Share It With

We share aggregated, non-identifiable click reports with our partner casinos: click counts, traffic sources (referring domains), click types, and daily trends, not individual user data.

We do not sell your data. We do not share sensitive information with casino partners.

8. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: our database provider. Data processed under their privacy policy.
  • Vercel: our hosting provider. Request logs may be retained per Vercel's data retention policies.
  • OpenFreeMap / MapLibre GL: powers the interactive casino map. Map tile requests are made directly to OpenFreeMap servers and are subject to their privacy policy.
  • Stripe: processes payments for our partner billing program. We do not store payment card data; all payment processing is handled by Stripe under their privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: used on select forms to detect automated submissions. Turnstile may process your IP address and browser attributes per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To submit a request, email us with your ca_sid cookie value (found in your browser's dev tools under Cookies) or a description of the content you submitted.
